Established in 1935, the BC Cancer Foundation raises funds to support research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, throughout British Columbia.

The BC Cancer Foundation has offices in all five of the BC Cancer's Agency's treatment centres - Abbotsford, Fraser Valley, Southern Interior, Vancouver Island and Vancouver.

Canuck Place was the first children’s hospice in North America and is now recognized globally as a leader in pediatric palliative care.   The comprehensive program is provided to over 350 children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, relying on the generosity of the community to offer its services at no cost.

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society serves 25,000 recipients weekly…10,000 of these are children.

We do this without accepting one penny from government funding sources.

For every dollar received we are able to purchase 3 dollars in food due to our strong purchasing power.

That is what makes each donation so valuable.

Heart disease and stroke are the underlying cause of death for over one in three people in BC and the Yukon. The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s advocacy efforts are striving to reduce this ratio by reducing exposure to smoke, promoting the benefits of exercise, and encouraging everyone to eat healthy. Ronald McDonald House BC is a loving home-away-from-home for children who require treatment at BC Children’s Hospital. A child’s treatment can last several months or even years, which causes both financial and emotional strain for families who live outside the Lower Mainland. Ronald McDonald House BC works to support these families in their time of need.

At the House, seriously ill children and their families can stay together and enjoy the comforts of home in an environment that encourages laughter and play. We rely on community support to serve up to 400 families a year. For more information, visit www.rmhbc.ca.
