The Refund Policy has been established by the Directors of the Vancouver International Marathon Society. The Society is a registered non-profit organization.
The Refund Policy is:
ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NONDEFERRABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. TRANSACTION FEES WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS.
For Legal and Liability reasons Runners cannot offer their unused bib to any other runner. Runners are not allowed to defer their unused entry to the following year.
All events such as the Pasta Party and Massage are refundable (excluding the credit card transaction fee) up to and including April 1 by written request only.
You may switch your Marathon entry to 21.1 km Half Marathon entry. However, the difference will not be refunded. You may switch from the 21.1 km Half Marathon to the Marathon but you will be charged the difference. All cancellations or changes must be submitted in writing.
The Society's Refund Policy is reviewed each year upon completion of the event. If you wish to forward your entry refund request to the Board then please:

- Forward all documents (medical, etc) to support the request
