Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 2010 BMO Vancouver Marathon!

The weatherman called for rain but that certainly didn't dampen the spirits of over 14,000 runners!  Just a recap on the highlights of 2010:

• Brita® sponsoring the Sports Expo and making us one of the few marathons in North America to go bottled water free!
• Saucony's shoe ice sculpture and Triumph Lounge!
  
• Running Room's extensive souvenir merchandise line!
  
• McDonald's premium coffee - a warm drink on a not-so-warm day!
  
• Added Visually Impaired Category - one of two in Canada!
• Speaker Program at the Brita Sports Expo!
  
• Downtown Eastside Foot Clinic's Shoe Drop (with the help of PODS and Running Room!)
• and more!

And thanks to YOU, we were able to give back to the community:

• 1.3 million dollars raised for charity

• 620 shoes for the Downtown Eastside Foot Clinic

• 250lbs of food for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society

• 30 garbage bags full of clothing donated to the Canadian Diabetes Association's ClothesLine program

• 1 truckload of food donated to the Union Gospel Mission
