The Vancouver International Marathon Society, a non-profit society, has organized the BMO Vancouver Marathon since 1986. As a non-profit society, all of the revenues generated by the event are used to host the event.

In the past, the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which the Society collects and remits to the Federal Government, has been included in the registration fees. This year the Society has chosen to reflect the tax separately so participants garner a better understanding of the costs associated with hosting the event.

To assist with this transition, we are offering a “grace period” until December 13, 2009 to register with no GST added.
