New 2015 Pricing Structure

Vancouver, BC – September 23, 2014

New registration pricing structure announced for runners

Runner feedback prompts new pricing tiers

Vancouver, BC – September 23, 2014
– New registration pricing tiers have been introduced for the 2015 BMO Vancouver Marathon. This season, the BMO Vancouver Marathon will move from three to five pricing tiers with the lowest price available for early registrants in October and November, 2014; prices then increase on December 1, 2014, followed by February 1, April 1 and May, 2015.

“As a non-profit organization responsible for the event, the Vancouver International Marathon Society is guided by our vision to be the world’s best running experience and to achieve this goal we need to ensure the organization is economically healthy for the long-term while, at the same time, delivering an experience that is thrilling, memorable and safe for everyone,” explained Charlene Krepiakevich, Executive Director of the Society. “Last year, like all other years, we talked to many stakeholders and surveyed our runners, volunteers, exhibitors, and other supporters to obtain feedback. This feedback prompted us to review our pricing tiers and decrease some fees where possible.”

Registration prices will increase according to dates, leaving the final cost for the Marathon at a lower price of $159 compared to last year’s $169. With registration for the 2015 BMO Vancouver Marathon opening in early October, participants have through November 30 to register at the lowest levels.
